MX-5 oil cooler set with aluminum plate - with thermostat MK1

We have our well-known cooler systems for the oil circuit once again revised and service-friendly for the assembly built... We offer the new oil cooler sets completely pre-assembled on an aluminum radiator plate. The new 9-row oil cooler has a net size of 18x5x12cm and is mounted behind the water cooler to save space.
The oil cooler and the hose connections are equipped with Dash 10 thread. Mounted on a super light powder coated aluminum plate and well positioned behind the water cooler, a good cooling performance is still guaranteed here. The new oil filter adapters with thermostat, are CNC machined from AL6061 with very high effort and high-end precision.   

The integrated thermostat allows the optimal regulation of the oil temperature of your MX-5 engine.
The opening temperature of the thermostat is 70° Celsius.
Only when the operating temperature is reached, the oil is then directed through the oil cooler.
The operating range of the thermostat is specified as 70°Celsius - 83° Celsius.

This set is designed specifically for Mazda MX-5 TYPE MK1 vehicles built from 1989 to 1998. It includes a super lightweight aluminum plate silver anodized with a classy finish, an oil cooler and mounting hardware. The kit is delivered pre-assembled by us ready for installation and can be easily mounted in combination with the I.L. aluminum radiator 50mm (braid thickness 42mm) or the original radiator.


Please note:

For the installation of our oil cooler set, we recommend the intake tube support specially developed by IL Motorsport. This support then allows a smooth installation and facilitates the replacement of the oil filter when changing the oil.
