Apex stud kits are cut from rolled steel, rolled, and undergo the company's proprietary combination of triple hardening, two-step heat treatment, and alloying. This material provides a 280,000 PSI ultimate strength and 260,000 PSI reusable yield strength. Each of our components is finished with a corrosion and scratch resistant surface that will resist corrosion for 60 hours in a salt spray and can be used at maximum loads without fear of corrosion damage. Each part in these kits is machined from a single piece. Not stamped, not forged, not cast, but made from the densest and strongest form of steel, straight from the foundry. The nut, washer and bolt are made from the same high strength material and heat treated to the same level to ensure that no part of the fastener kit will fail. Each washer and nut are perfectly matched to ensure the best load distribution. Each batch is tensile tested to ensure that the fasteners in these components achieve the proper level of strength. All data is recorded and documented. Each thread is calibrated to ensure that the nuts and bolts allow for clean thread engagement and provide uniform torque distribution.
