This steel pulley is used to slow down belt, alternator and waterpump speeds, excessive alternator speeds wastes power and can potentially damage your alternator. Waterpumps can cavitate when they are run outside normal engine speed resulting in a negative cooling effect.
Running any auxilary items faster then required is simply a waste of power. Changing your underdrive pulley to our race part can give good gains with a uniform increase from 0 rpm tot maximum rpm.
The pulley features an integrated trigger wheel that adds more lightweight and reliability.
