The illuminated IL Motorsport gear knob " Sportsline Design " is milled from a plastic block as a basic body, and the hand-made threaded insert with anodised-plated rosette and the elaborately designed inlay with gearshift diagram harmoniously round off the design of this elegant gear knob. The metal body is milled from brass and is then elaborately silver anodized. Our Sportsline gear knob sits very comfortably in the hand and the weight of approx. 470 grams means that the gears can be engaged quickly and easily. The thread has been incorporated into the gear knob as far as possible so that the gear knob sits very low on the shifter. In contrast to conventional aftermarket gear knobs, our gear knob features the MX-5's gearshift pattern milled and illuminated in white and the reverse gear is also illuminated in red.
The lower anodised-plated end rosette is fitted with a phase-in mechanism to lock the shift bag supplied in the upper area.
This results in a harmonious unit between the gear knob and shift bag.
The highlight here is certainly the gearshift diagram illuminated by 2 white LEDs and a detachable plug connection on the supplied cable set makes it easy to install/remove the gear knob if required.
