We have once again upgraded our well-known cooler systems for the oil circuit. We offer the new oil cooler sets completely pre-assembled with a high-performance fan from Spal. Where the serial fan stops blowing at 800m³/h, these high performance fan engines just start to get warm. With a peak performance of 1630m³/h per fan, the engines have twice as much power as the original in your vehicle. The new 9-row oil cooler has a net size of 18x5x12cm and is mounted behind the water cooler to save space.
The oil cooler and hose connections are equipped with Dash 10 threads. Mounted on a super light powder-coated aluminum plate and well positioned behind the water cooler a good cooling performance is still guaranteed. The new oil filter adapters with thermostat, are made of AL6061 with very high effort and high-end precision CNC.
The integrated thermostat allows the optimal control of the oil temperature of your MX-5 engine.
The opening temperature of the thermostat is 70° Celsius.
Only when the operating temperature is reached, the oil is then passed through the oil cooler.
The working range of the thermostat is specified as 70°Celsius - 83° Celsius.
We have the new systems with and without thermostat in our range suitable for all MX-5 NB & NBFL models.
This set is especially designed for the Mazda MX-5 TYPE NB & NBFL with 1,8 Ltr. engine vehicles from 1998 to 2005. It contains a gap fan, an ultra light aluminum plate silver anodized with a super finish, an oil cooler and mounting accessories. The kit comes pre-assembled. The kit can be easily mounted in combination with the I.L. aluminium cooler 50mm (braid thickness 42mm) or the original cooler.
Please note:
For the assembly of our oil cooler kit we recommend the specially developed IL Motorsport intake manifold support. This support enables a smooth installation and makes it easier to replace the oil filter when changing the oil.
